After release of AAg in 1948. Raj Kapoor conceived the idea of a movie titled Ghraunda in early 1950s with himself, Dilip Kumar and Nargis. But the project did not materialize. Dilip declined the offer. Years after Raj Kapoor made this movie based on the same script starring himself, Rajendra Kumar and Vyjanthimala. ( Orientlover posting from Lahore).

This movie was a big in Iran. I know many older relatives and their friends often sing at lats the first few lines. My mom used to drag us (me and my siblings) to Indian movies. At the time I was too young, and Indian Indian moves were all tear jerker. My only impression time were that Indian female actors were very pretty. I tried to watch a recent Indian movie. Not the same. May be I am older & more cynical, or maybe movies are not as good!
