Tiger at the Chevron: New Swing, Same Pivot Compression

Roger Maltbie adds his name to the list of announcers who erroneously analyze swings on television. In this case he declares that Tiger is "maintaining his levels much better". The swing he is referencing shows otherwise.

Good video, but does it really need to be 8 mins long?!! You might get more viewers if you cut the massive pauses and silences whilst shortening the video! Keep up the good work tho

@elnocho3 It's not scripted or edited, so I have to spend time clicking from swing to swing. I go as fast as I can, and if the material is interesting and original enough I figure people will watch until they don't want to anymore. Personally I hate two minute in-your-face keep it simple videos. I would rather watch detailed information at a reasonable pace. I would hope that viewers would go back and watch again anyway.

Wayne, on the golf channel early in the week, Gary Koch said that Tiger's head is not dropping as much after analyzing his swing with bizhub. I honestly don't know what he was looking at, in the very swing he analyzed, Tiger's head had to drop 6 inches!

@ahoop24 They don't even look at what's in front of them. They know what they are going to say before they see the video. There is no "analysis", there is only opinion, and conventional nonsense at that. It doesn't matter who it is, Kostis, Koch, Miller, Nobilo, Chamblee, Maltbie, Faldo. Being pressed for time is no excuse for the dumbass statements they come up with. These guys (except Kostis) were all good players. You would think they would be better at what they do.

May be I shouldn't be bothered - lets leave them to feel around in the dark, hoping they grab something good, but most of the time they just grab man boobs

Wayne your analysis is unmatched. I am a 3 handicap golfer and have learned a ton watching your videos. I've been playing for 24 yrs and this is the first time I really have a desire to video tape my swing. When I saw the video I could immediately see the areas you would fix. I also realized that the advice I've been following from the "experts" on TV for decades is wrong...tough pill to swallow but better late than never I guess.
