@eXJonSnow STI Edge 2011 in 40 S&W. check out STI gun on the web. They are located in Georgetown Texas.
-
@nictaylor00 yeah, i saw topshot.
well, in that case, great job. what were you shooting?
-
@eXJonSnow Thanks, cause I'm that A class shooter and Blake was on the 1st season of Topshot :) Actually there is a pretty big difference but it really depends on how the shooter actually shoots at the time that counts. In the movie the fast and the furious, they said winning is winning, does not matter if you barely won. Same kinda applies in shooting. Blake beat me on this stage and others. Add them together and it he beat me by a mile.

@nictaylor00 is there a big difference between GM and A-class, because they seemed pretty close to each other
-
@eXJonSnow This is actually a USPSA match. USPSA is like an affiliate of IPSC. There are slightly different rules but they are pretty much the same.
-
@nictaylor00 is this uspsa or ipsc?
-
@eXJonSnow Very good question, I'll answer that here but if you like I will email you additional info that will not fit in the comment box, let me know. GM stands for Grand Master, a GM is the highest grade or level of shooting you can get. from GM is drops off to M-Master, then A, B, C and D being the lowest. Almost like the report card system here in the US. There is also U class. That is Unclassified which means they have not shot enough to get a grade.

i'm new to competition shooting.
what is GM class, and what are the differences between classes?
-
looks like what they say about transitioning to different shooting positions is real important

Very cool video. Thanks Nick.

very nicely done! That was great side-by-side, really helps ya see where the time was lost.

kool
but about the grip, just a simple question..
how much I have to grip.. hard.. or not..
Someone tell me to be soft.. but I cant double fast as I want my shot.
if I strongly grip the gun, seems to dance in my hand. I'd like to show a video to have an opinion, do u have a contact mail?

@c1b8checas8 I did a video a while back on grip and drawing the pistol. Search on my channel page in my Uploads for "drawing the pistol". You can contact me through YouTube email. See the link below the subscribe button on my page.
Hold the gun tight with your weak hand and somewhat relaxed with your trigger finger hand. That way your free to pull the trigger gently and under control. A death grip with your trigger finger hand will cause inaccuracy.

thank you very much for the info.
I was watching your video about springs of the sti. I have an infinity , with recoil spring 12 lbs. but I can manage recoil.. maybe I have to grip more strongly. I shot 180grs lead bullet 955fts , major factor ipsc.

@c1b8checas8 After making that video I am gonna switch to a 12 pound spring in my Edge. I put a "chart" into that video description with some guidelines on spring weight. I use the "Precision Bullets DOT com" 180 grain with TiteGroup. I can;t remember the amount off hand. I get about 170PF. The lead bullets give you a softer feel on recoil and the Precision Bullets are coated with a plastic so it reduces the dirtyness of lead.

what software do you use for making this side by side?

@c1b8checas8 Power Director 9 is what I am using to edit. It seems pretty straight forward and had pretty good reviews when it came to ease of use and features. I think I paid $50 for it.
