All nascar fans please subscribe. I will be hopefully recording every cup race, and making videos throughout the whole season. Danica did a great job here, I have to give her props. She was "oddly" forced down, but yeah....what a save.

  • @MurphyMonster It's a trained response in open wheel racing. The force of the impact of the front wheels with the wall can be transmitted back through the steering linkage and break the drivers hands, wrists, or arms.

  • @Lights0ut1109 The way the drivers hold the wheels is not like Nascar. The way the steering boxes are, the wheels are just so twitchy and when they hit a wall they spin like crazy and if you're holding onto it when it snaps it will snap your wrist.

  • @deedubya286 During the Daytona 500 I saw several drivers including Jimmie Johnson do the same thing. I kept seeing and thinking, what the hell are they doing? I figured it was maybe something nascar was preaching as a new safety measure during a crash.

  • @deedubya286 if u have a 300 horsepower bounce on the double put the pedal to the floor on a u-turn and then release the steering wheel once u feel it turned twice it means u tires r straight now n then now steer it to the right a lil bit n again lol bounce on the double put the pedal to the floor u will be driving straight but the rear would look awesome

  • @SlyHobbit I've been watching racing since the early 80s and have never heard of doing that before. It looks like you may be right because I could never figure out why she let go at a point where there was no imminent front end impact.

Where have you heard or seen this technique used before?

  • @theprofessional1414 Yes. A race driver who doesn't know how to crash is like a boxer who doesn't know how to take a punch. They're not going to be in the sport very long. It's going to happen and they have to be able to deal with it.

  • i'd love her "quick hands" to be riding up and down my dick.

  • @theprofessional1414 no, it means that she's really good at reacting

  • @JokaPlaya i was just being stupid, but yeah, she seems really smart about that.

  • @theprofessional1414 shes good at making sure she doesn't get seriously hurt since if she would of held on to the wheel, she might of had a broken hand.

  • she did that letting go of the wheel thing yesterday, DW and all the other announcers went crazy over it for about 20 minutes. my question: does that mean she's really good at crashing?
