It's a cast of the mandible of a Gigantopithecus blacki discovered by a farmer at the Liucheng cave site in Southern China in 1956. The cast is displayed displayed in the Museum of Man in San Diego. Gigantopithecus is the largest of several extinct genera of the subfamily Ponginae(orangutans) and was first theoretically described from fossil teeth by Von Koenigswald, 1935.
