PS3's intro version looks better with Vader.

People, I can see the frustration from the whole Star Wars thing, but I actually thing making this move explains a very important term in star wars. "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away." now we know when that long time ago happened.

2 things 1. Adding star wars wuz pretty dumb 2. The legend of Nightmare will always live on

wow........ this is really lazy when compared to the 3 and 2's intro, i would even say soul calibur 1 had a better intro than this. :/

the appeal of soul calibur is that it has old fashioned fighting styles and that it mixes European and Asian weapons and techniques, but the addition of star wars is completely unwarranted and ridiculous. SC3 got my hopes up for a continuation of such good games, but this just tanked them. if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it only to ruin it Namco.

@LuigitheSith i actually remember playing force unleashed at cloud city, i was fighting this JAR-JAR guy who had a stone sword. he whooped my ass.

@IronSoul890 I will admit I loved how they handle the beginning with Algol, Soul Edge, and the making of Soul Calibur and all. However, after that the follow up was really weak, and that scene would have been positively awesome with the quality CG that 360/PS3 can obtain nowadays.

@hide230 III's especially was so much better.
Also I get that there's the gimmick of putting your own character in the intro, but still, having an opening that's essentially using the in game character models is just lazy.

Not as fun or exciting to watch than the previous games cinematics

this game is nothing to sc2 and sc3
-
well i can understand soul edge and soul calibur standing up to a lightsaber considering their "magical" blades
This game is totally ruined by the franchise of Starwars!!! My favourite one is SC3. SC2 is epic, but the separation of Heihachi, Spawn, and Link is quite annoying! Damn capitalism, it made the game companies care less about gamers' feelings of not having the missing characters in each console versions! Namco had gone too far this time!!! We lose money just for one lousy missing character when we buy the console that the missing character's in! Oh well, we've been tricked. Tricked forever.

Namco have also released a ton of DLC, which all costs a fair bit. They're just money grabbing.
I agree Soul Calibur 3's my fave too, but in SCIV they seem to have gut everything that was good about SC3 from it.
