@challengeproduction You can't edit HD widescreen videos in Movie Maker. You have to buy a different movie editor software. You can upload videos to your computer with a cable or sd card reader.

how did you have the video options on tha video menu options? and why cant i edit my videos on windows movie maker. and how did you upload this on your computer?

actually I got the SX30. I was able to do all the af during filming, and filmed for 52 minutes (2 separate movies) without having to change batteries.

The sx30 has the worst battery life of any digital camera in history. You'll get 20-30 minutes of shooting and it's dead. The picture quality isn't really better than a P100. You have to get used to the Nikon to figure out how to make it perform great where the Canon is a little more dummy proof. I like the 1080i better than the Canon videos lower quality. But Canon's zoom much quieter, smoother and focus better while shooting vids. Hope that thelps.

did anyone else notice that when it is zooming, it goes blurry and then refocuses? I am shopping around and didn't see that in some of the competitors...
