Fallout New Vegas - Someone to watch over me BUG

If you use the intelligence speech check to convince Alice to stay, then leave the building before talking to Mrs Hostetler, the quest will fail on the spot. Negative karma is awarded when the quest fails, even though you have just gained karma for convincing Alice not to attack her parents. On going back into the house, Alice appears dead laying over the dining room table from where she sat down after convincing her not to kill her parents. Her mother will enter through the front door of the house in a hostile state, even though Alice is already dead on the table and start shooting at the player. If you have a companion with you they will kill her, regardless, no interactions are possible at that point.

As the video shows at the end, I convinced Alice to stay with her parents, I just didn't talk to the mother before leaving the house... why this failed the quest and turned her hostile I have no idea.

the quest is fucking BROKEN.

could someone PLEASE make a fucking video with a fix for this?

the wiki is very unclear as to how to do so

I have no idea how you fix it, I should imagine not going out of the house until you've talked to the mum... I think that was my mistake. Apologies that I have no idea how to fix it, I just accepted it as a fuck up and moved on.

Before this i'm in this building called ''the gray'', i'm in this quest I need to inspect the gray for clues to their whereabouts, How can i do this i cant come further from here, could you help me ore propably make a full walktrough on this quest please.

@killTHEIRidols Make sure that you is in ANdys room on the first floor, and theres no other ways, you just need to take that note, I have the same problem, I used 1 day to take the fucking note, and I tried everything, and in the end It just worked and I took it. So if you can see the note there, then you need to take it, thats the only way, anyway I wish you Good.

i got a worst bug.. i think its a bug... i told her to go far away.. now whenever i fast travel or wait... she appears and says "..." then when i talk to her again she continues to just stand there going "..." its bloody annoying, my mate said this happend to him, but it only happend to him once.... this happens to me everytime i wait or fast travel ( bloody stalker )

@sharki9876 the note is in ANDYS room on the first floor of the grey. Its easy to nab, and very easy to see in the shelf of the tv stand. The second floor room with the tv tipped over is not the right room. NO FIX NEEDED.

@killTHEIRidols Many thanks for that info! I tried what you explained but cant get at that note....Do you have anymore tips as to whereabouts to stand, any particular stance etc?? Honestly i came at the table from every direction, speed i was even on top of the tele at one point!! haha...Ridiculously confusing! Again, any help appreciated please man, cheers.

@killTHEIRidols Well you need to find the note first. go inside Andy's room and turn right immediately, you will see a small television at top of a small table. on/in that table is a piece of paper (the note) which you also can see. please notice you'll need to be precise on the timing, because it can be hard to get the note, you just have to aim well so you can take the note. So the note is in ANDYS Room just remember to aim well.
