From a very young age, Dr. Klim then known as Jimmy, had a passion for creativity and figuring out how to make things work. This interest is what what led Dr. Klim to consider dentistry as a profession.

Dr. James Klim graduated Summa cum Laude, Valedictorian, from Loma Linda University Dental School in 1984. He has been awarded high academic recognition by the Alpha Omega Fraternity and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society and has received the Prince Award from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.

It was in 1985 that Dr. Klim started private practice in Santa Rosa, California and has since built a world famous reputation for clinical excellence and teaching.

He has been awarded fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry and Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics. He is an Accredited member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Klim founded and directs the CADStar™ Center for CAD/CAM Dental Education. This learning center and online training is now reaching doctors from every world continent via his teaching website university (cadstar.org), authoring in dental journals, writing dental technique manuals, and international lecturing.




Dr. Klim's practice and teaching is a outflow of his many years in practice and post-graduate education in occlusion (bite) function, TMD, aesthetics, orthodontics and periodontics, non-metal dentistry, etc.

Dr. Klim is most proud of his 25+ years of applying what he has learned to the clinical theater and caring for his patients. He said his greatest value as an educator is the experience he has built by being a "wet finger dentist".

Dr. Klim feels he has the best of both worlds, practicing and serving his patients in his dental practice and mentoring doctors from all over the world via his teaching career.

Dr. Klim is a consultant to a number of dental manufactures and high-technology dental developers and is respected for his forward thinking in dental techniques and applications.
