The fact that they cast Lucille Ball (love her no matter what) as Mame in the film version forever ruined it for me. Angela Lansbury WAS Mame! Wish someone would bring this amazing musical back to Broadway instead of another run of Chorus Line or 42nd Street. Bette Midler, are you listening?
