Can you tell us how these exercises have affected your vertical leap?
-
The body still has to move as fast as it can to move that weight. Thats why the movement is explosive.

u need to do it fast
speed is the main factor of training explosiveness

Looks great for a workout but that would kill my knees lol
-
@scoobychau you actually count the clips in your weight? your jump squats should be lessened and more explosive bro
-
I feel sorry for your knees
-
Try split jerks and push presses. They're better and safer and just as explosive as the jump squats.
-
Looks painful. I'd hate to be you in fifteen years.
-
Looks while sore on the lower back
-
wow, so many youtube experts here
looked fine to me

toes on a squat should be faced forward if u turn them out to the sides (commonly done) ur body compensates and can have kinetic chain imbalances.

Naah, he'll be in a wheel chair because of his back long before his knees give in.
Actually, he won't because his form is quite good. I don't understand why he would take the rist though, since there's cleans and jerks which give the same benifit, or pulls if you want to be really safe.

U must be new the weight lifting,
the bar itself is 45 lbs
the clip on each side is 5.5 lb."
I dont think 145lbs at 40% makes you a pro.

I don think at any where i name my self as a pro.
(may be u can check out Frank Yang video for some crazy lift, even him might not be a pro)

you said your first set was 145lbs, but it says right there on the left individual weight 45lbs so where you only lifting 90lbs?

Your technique doesn't look too bad... back straight and all... but thats still quite a lot of wieght that you're supporting on your back. One slip up and you could do yourself quite a lot of damage. Have a look into getting yourself a wieght/jump belt. They go upto about 13kg/30lbs, all the wieght is on your legs (not on your back) and you can wear it for all your other polymetric exercises... which would increase their effectiveness massively.
