@loomis2 Well, that's how I got Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 on my tm2t-1100 CTO. I'm not sure if it was different before I got mine on October 18, 2010.

@Roboman2121 No, we bought it with Office, Office is on the laptop, and I have never seen or used the external drive. That's all I can tell you.

@loomis2 In order to get Microsoft Office, you can only get it as a CD-ROM option that comes shipped with it. It does not come pre-loaded on the machine: you have to install it yourself, although in order to install it, you must opt for the optional external optical drive in order to read discs, as there is no integrated optical drive.

@DeepydeepyDeepydeepy I would think a newer model would be out by now, unless things like the iPad have made this type of computer obsolete. I hope not, since this is an actual computer and tablets just run apps.

@BWSullivan2007 I didn't even order the kid but HP sent her anyway. We decided to keep her rather than pay the shipping fee to return her.
