shulmannicole: don't know about Gerard being 1/2 Jewish 1/2 Irish but his grandparents (don't know what side) were Italian. I was referring to what my friend Marc called the uneasy alliance between the Jews and and the Irish in New York---although it would seem that the alliance depicted herein betwixt Mr. Ferrell and Mr. Cohen is a bit more amiable than that!
