Suzuki DRZ400 3X3 mod as described www.thumpertalk.com. Do some research before doing this mod. This was my interoperation of the mod. The biggest difference would be the 3x3 hole make sure you do a 3x3=9. Use a calculator and figure it out 3x3=9, what ever you do make sure it = 9. Example: a * b = 9

  • is there any use to cutting the hole, but not doing anything with the jets? I really don't want to mess with jets - but cutting a hole seems pretty simple.

  • @buchey

DO NOT CUT THE HOLE WITHOUT CHANGING THE JETS!! If you do the bike will not run right. Go to thumpertalk fot more info on the right jets for you.

  • Great video. Nicely done. That vacuum diaphragm looked a little stretched out, though. I replaced mine when it looked like that.

  • @AK47PERFORMANCE

The bike only had 1200 miles on it, don't see how it could have been streached. Now it has 6000 and still running great.

  • if you do not drill and make the 3 turns out thing how does this effect performance?

  • @skating4ad

3 turns is just a starting point, you back it down as far as you can with out affecting the idle. Mine is now at 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 turns out. Since you changed the Pilot jet you need to change the fule mixture to tune it right. Go to thumpertalk to get more info.

  • @EXPLORINGYouinHD The parts needed for this mod (the DRZ400 3x3) can be purchased individually from a dealer or from ThumperTalk by purchasing either a DynoJet or JD jet kit for a DRZ400.

  • I don't have a DRZ, but I might get one in a year or two. I really enjoyed the video though, it's very well done. People who take the time to visually illustrate these kinds of procedures are great. So thanks!

  • DOES ANY 1 KNOW WHER I CAN GET THESE PARTS FROM

  • where di u buy all this from ???

  • does the 3x 3 mod affect the bike's performance in wet weather ?

  • @rbrtplly i did this with out jets had no prob, just no dirt riding

  • Just wanted to say that this is a great mod that applies to any DRZ400 that has a CV carb (later E, an all S and SM models). I did it and it really makes the bike run smoother as faster. It also the first motor mod that you should do, even before changing the muffler or head pipe. As those mods require different jetting anyways.

    Excellent video rbrtplly!!!

  • can i do the same thing for the drz400sm??thanks ;)

  • What do you gain from this mod..
