the hanging tree: a nigel kneale inspired story

a short horror i made about witch trials. Gareth Davies, Bill Evans and Suzanne Cook as the witch whos just had a little girl ahhh. Alisha Rimell did the makeup and i did everything else. took about 8 hrs to shoot and 3 days to edit.

Excellent work! Very Kneale-esque in tone, with an outstanding performance from the girl - very well cast. I thought the music was very effective and suited the understated tone perfectly.

I personally thought the music was too heavy. And I felt it had no real ending.

Excellent film, well done. The girl was very well cast, her performance was mesmerising. The mutted effect gave it an edge that no amount of screaming and shouting could never have done.

Outstanding! I thought the costumes and acting were very good. I like how everything was very muted and the violence was implied vs. over-the-top. I felt bad for the witch...being tortured for hours. At least she got the last laugh!

just think, somewhere in London theirs more where he came from. know what i mean "wink wink" apples&pears "my son" and all that bollocks. its all a bit "tasty" for me.
