The wait is finally over! This new episode of Full Disclosure shows you how to use a SSH Tunnel to secure your data when you are on an untrusted LAN (ex. Coffee Shop, School's network, or Defcon). Furthermore, you can use the SSH Tunnel to bypass the LAN's internet filters. The SSH tunnel protocol works by encapsulates your data into an encrypted payload and transmitting it to the SSH Server which is setup on a trusted LAN.

Does the ssh server needs to be on a seperate computer/server from the computer with the putty client?

yup.  if you don't do that you would just be connecting to yourself.

Ohh well now I need a server it cost about like 500$? (I don't have 1cent) Or a free ssh account with alot of bandwidth (really need one no idea where to get 1) I only have 1 computer

my subnet is being blocked by website, would this help me get around that? if I surf their site using an ssh tunnel, would they know its me?
