He's good!

@rickdb1 If you are unfamiliar with your equipment then always use the winch before pulling the boat out of the water. My boat is not sliding anywhere.

Should always secure the boat with the winch before pulling it out of the lake. Too easy for one to slide off..

Nice to see somebody who can load a pontoon boat quickly, Seems like they always hold the ramp up when im there trying to load my bass boat.

I do that, but doing it in a 15 mph cross wind is much much tougher. You have to line the boat up with the wind drift in mind. Can be a nasty experience.

@johnrcornelius In a big cross wind, I start downwind of the trailer with the pontoon boat. Ease upwind to the trailer and put the downwind pontoon onto the trailer bunks first then steer the boat so that the upwind pontoon eases onto the trailer bunks. Then apply power to get the boat up onto the trailer. It's important to straighten the pontoon to the trailer so that the rearward part of the pontoons are lined up with the trailer bunks and floating as little as possible. Use power. Not depth.

I think you have one of them spring loaded locks that snap into place when the boat hit it right?

@AlanMolstad No springloaded locks! The upper trailer bunks are dry and the cg is forward enough that the boat is not "floating" and wont slide backward. Simple as that. that's exactly why I don't drown the trailer when I'm loading the boat. I don't "float" this boat onto a submerged trailer.

@Onyx8100 That's the ramp at Heber Springs Recreation Area, on Greer's Ferry Lake in Heber Springs, Arkansas. A truly amazing lake!
