BERNARD SZAJNER - Saracen Cards live 1983

Good quality audio recording of Szajner's concert at Hammersmith Lyric Theatre, May 15 1983. The musicians included ex-Bachdenkel guitarist Colin Swinburne, Bernard Paganotti (bass), Guy Khalifa (cello), Francois Schroeder (sax), Clement Bailly (drums), Howard Devoto (vox) and of course Szajner on all manner of electronics including his incredible self-designed and constructed Syrinx 'laser harp'.

A superb track from the 1983 album Brute Reason, his last full album release, featuring some fierce guitar work by Colin Swinburne.

Perhaps the greatest 'forgotten' genius of late 70's/early 80s electronic & new wave music. He has relocated from Paris to London, is still producing music (although he has no recording deal for 4 cds worth of new material), and still produces art, sculpture and light works.

Bernard made no recording of the Lyric Theatre concert and has given his blessing for these tracks to appear on youtube, for which many thanks.
