    The gun reference for the rapier if you pay attention is a revolver. The reason it doesn't fire shots is because it represents the chamber rather than the bullets. Like Russian roulette, the selection is random.

    Unlike in Ruby's and Blake's trailer. there was no zoom in on the Myrtenaster like there was on the Crescent Rose or the Gambol Shroud so its not as obvious. Even Dayanaria said that (s)he only noticed it by going frame by frame.

    Except that the Crescent Rose is OBVIOUSLY a gun, where-as the Myrtenaster is a RAPIER and doesn't fire BULLETS so the gun reference is harder to spot...

    Stabbing in the joints only works against a living opponent. The suit of armor appears to be hollow so that would make thrusting pointless.
