Another one shot anna? grr. [Motivation]

Some people wish they could have the latest phone. Or the latest shirt, or the latest trend. The list could go on forever.

But my wishes? Much simpler.

I wish I could walk.

Yes, you heard me, I wish I could walk. My name is Selena Gomez and I'm 25 years old. 1 year ago, I was in a car accident that paralyzed my legs. Ever since, I've been in a wheelchair. And I know what everyone is thinking when they pass by me. I know that they say "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" and I know that they think "Wow. I feel bad but I'm glad that's not me."

I promise you 98% of people think that and I promise you, most of you reading this would too. I'm not gonna lie, if I was in your position, I would too. It's nothing to feel bad about, it's the truth. So what can you do about it?

People look at you differently once you have a disability. Everyone has a different way of dealing with it. Some people start to judge you, others start to treat you like a baby, and a few completely throw you out of their lives.

I've been through all three, and it shows me what kind of person they really are.

But only one person I know has had neither of these reactions, but the best one. His name is Joe Jonas, and he has been my husband for two years.

You wanna know what the worst part about that accident was? The thought of Joe leaving me. Because he's my reason for life. He's my motivation. And we all need a motivation, right?

Joe's quite a character, I'll tell you that. He can make you laugh in the saddest situation and he can make you laugh in the happiest one too. So when I became disabled, the thought of why he hadn't left me circled my mind.

I mean people have actually asked him "Why haven't you left her yet?".

But he hasn't.

So now I roll over to the kitchen and try to reach the cereal on a cabinet when Joe comes sweeping through and grabs it.

"Why didn't you call me?" he asks.
"I thought you were sleeping." I reply.
"Well I'm not." he smiles and pours the cereal into a bowl and gets the milk out.

He starts pouring it into the bowl, and just at the right amount he stops. He puts some on the counter, and helps me up from the chair and into the seat. He goes over to the fridge and gets himself some yogurt and sits next to me.

"I hate this." I reply to him. He reaches for my hand and whispers " I know, I know. But you're a trooper. You can pull through."

I don't know whats causing all of this, but the next thing I know i'm bawling my eyes out. "Why didn't you leave me?" I ask him, not ready for the answer.

He scoffs. "Me? Leave you? Why? Because you're in a wheelchair? Selena, that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard. Just because you're in a wheelchair, it doesn't change anything about us. I still love you unconditionally and you love me. Right?"

I smile "Right". I feel his lips press onto mine and I close my eyes. He pulls me into a hug and I can't help but grin.

So readers, don't feel bad for me. My life is pretty amazing. Feel bad for the people where their loved one left them.Because everyone, even you, needs a motivation.
