This wams my heart to see this as a long time 49ers fan from NYC. In 1989, Montana and the Niners were down 28-10 to the Eagles and 27-10 to the Rams in the 4th Qtr, came back and won each game! I have to check my tapes. When the Rams got the ball after the Craig TD, didn't Center Doug Smith fumbled the ball for a 2nd time for the Rams in the 4th Qtr? Those were the days!

@aaronveegee Yep. The Rams absolutely choked that night. Probably more devastating than the humiliation they suffered to the Niners in the NFC Title Game at the end of that season.

i remember watching this game as a kid. what a downer this one was. i thought our Rams had beaten the niners for sure.

"what a miserable, miserable feeling". I've never felt as bad for a guy as Ron Brown that night. The Rams had the Niners in their pocket.
