They are just different colored. They are more for show. They are collector Pokémon.

You get it from Professor Oak at Pal Park after you receive the Pokéradar.

How would they do that? The only other thing they could do is make 2 shiny colors for the pokemon, but that would get confusing and frustrating after a bit.

{i got like 3}... they increase exp that you get by 1.5 . so if i would have gotten 2000 experience from fighting a pokemon, i get 3000 instead. what is really good is raising traded pokemons (extra boost), which will then be 4000 exp
