  • Are "jinn" and "demons" the same thing? Are jinn just malevolent spirits?

  • @8triagrammer, Jinn is the name of the species, like human beings for example, where demons is the title given to the evil ones amongst the Jinn.

  • @Bushwackk re. "demons is the title given to the evil ones amongst the Jinn"

i take it then that, the good, among the Jinn would be associated with Angels? in the west, we sometimes say that every person has their own personal guardian angel...so, does Islamic culture say the same thing about good and evil Jinnat/Jinns(?) i.e. do we each have our own two personal Jinns, a good one and an evil one?

  • @jimaldo64 We have Angels that record each action that we undertake, and each human being has been assigned a Jinn called Qareen, which stays with you until your death. They whisper to you, evil suggestions, or an invitation to do evil. This is why Muslims seek refuge in God, from their evil. Finally, those who are in a submissive(i.e. Muslims) state to God, are protected by God, whether Angels or otherwise.

  • @Bushwackk i dont think that a jinn is assigned to every human by ALLAH since have never have heard no hadith or ayah in this regard my brother please do guide me about this perspective in the light of ayah or authentic hadith

  • @2151013 Hadith, “There is no one among you but a comrade from among the jinn is assigned to him.” He was the asked “Even you, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Even me, but Allah granted me victory over him and he became Muslim (or: and I am safe from him), so he only enjoins me to do that which is good.” Also check out the Quran 50:27 and 43:36. God bless.

  • @JACOBI786, Salam bro, no my name is not Waqar. Some scholars were on the opinion that the Jinn are the off spring of Satan. Ibn Taymeya which happens to be on this opinion, and has written a great deal on the Jinn. Humans are the off spring of Adam, and likewise the Jinn are the offspring of Azzazeel/Shytan/Lucifer/Satan. Take care bro.

  • @kandikid2308 sign of possession

  • @Bushwackk It's not sahih, it's a weak hadith. Research about the authenticity of Hadiths which are judged by the chain of narrators.

  • @Bushwackk moreover brother acc to maulana maudoodi's tafseer of surah baqrah from ayah 36 to 39 there was more than one djin in satan's force and satan left with all of them , and now these djin help him in his work. however if a human remains "paak" pure they can not harm us.

  • @Bushwackk jazak ALLAH brother i appreciate ur effort if u could plz tell me that from which book does the hadith belong to. moreover about the ayahs jazak ALLAH again for sharing however i have read tafseer from multiple resources but acc to all of them the "companion" mentiones in surah qaaf and "qareen" mentioned in surah zukhruf is actually devil iblees, and the appointment by ALLAH means that he has been given certain powers that no other djin is or was given.

  • The Djinns are God's creations, just like us.. If you read the bible, you would know that god also created the Angels, & Man. The Angels are of Light, the Djinns are of Fire...... and Man.... from Clay... Its only natural that we, the clay beings, would be in awe of the Djinns. Seeking favours from the Djinn is not unheard of.. But remember... Why seek the creation, when we can approach the Creator?

  • thanks for nothing

  • @kandikid2308 I believe it's a trick to hypnotize those who are "unprotected"
