Greatly underrated and fantastic movie. No remake needed, just re-released on DVD and shown on TV once in a while!

My dad took me to see this movie when it first came out! And I saw the movie Hindenburg in the Grauman's Chinese Theatre when it first came out.

During the making of this film, a S.E.5a replica aircraft collided with the camera helicopter and several people died.

@denberg2 The first time I saw it was on "Movie of the Week" (I think that's the name of the show) back in 72 or '73, when they were showing Colombo. Been trying to see it again ever since.

This is a great movie, and I have always loved the theme, I like the version that plays when the zeppelin is being brought out of the hanger in the middle of the film, great all around movie.

I really like the theme from this movie ever since I first saw it on TV about ten years ago. Been trying to find a clean recording of it since, but no one's selling it far as I can see.

I bet I'm one of the very few people watching this clip on YouTube who actually saw ZEPPELIN at the cinema in 1971...I was impressed with it then, and still thoroughly recommend it now.

My favorite part was when Michael York's impersonation is discovered and he throws the fellow over the side of the Zeppelin and then yells, "Man Overboard!" Now that's fairly useless from a Zep. I was surprised he didn't throw a life ring after the poor guy.
