  • Yeah, but the thing is, why squat any lower then you have to in competition? if you know the rules of the fed and that you can get a (comparatively speaking) high squat passed, why would you go lower and sacrifice numbers? The definition of squatting to parallel (or breaking parallel) changes from fed to fed anyway. But if you look at the beginning of this video, Chuck is squatting on a below parallel box (crease of his hip is below the crease of his knee). Hmm....

  • Well while the rest of this board argues over nonsense NO ONE on here will ever prove, I'm man enough to admit that this dued just OWNED every training session I've ever had in 4 minutes of video footage because I haven't touched any of the top poundages shown here...

  • Very nice lifting to Chuck, i only started powerlifting last year and this year i competed in the 242, at 16 yrs old im squatting 470 Lbs, deadlifting 455, and benching about 260. it may not be the greatest but it got me 3rd place at state

  • listen, to anyone who wants to trash gear, get in some gear sometime, 1,000 pounds is 1,000 pounds no matter what you have on, i use to hate on the gear too until i got some, now im a multi-ply powerlifter, you have to be super strong to support the weight you use with gear or else the gear doesnt work, you will grow and get stronger just by getting in gear and handling bigger weight, do not talk shit about gear until you have the balls to get in some
