It sounds more like Coltrane's 'Impressions', which is also a modal tune. The coda is not that bizar; the DJ has made a sample of the trombone solo, and they are jamming with the DJ. Nicely done!

Take a look at the band...the bone section is diggin' on this, HARD. Nils is the funkiest trombonist since Fred Wesley.
