Description
Following a year and a half as a 3 piece acoustic outfit, 3 have
now become 4 with the addition of some rhythm courtesy of
Symon Owers.
As the songwriting began following an even darker path the drums
became a mandatory addition. Come and join Petite Debauche
on our official launch night for alluring tales of love, life and debauchery.
Biography
Petite Debauche are a four-piece contemporary folk-pop-rock band
from Cornwall, UK. Their mix of female/male vocal, spanish, electric,
12-string and baritone (courtesy of Victor Tomkinson) guitar sweeps
from simple pop hooks to classical arppegios with random fuzzed out
reggae, crystal clear jazz fingerpicking, sea shantys, folk and mellow
spacy chord progressions. Kattie Rossers soaring vocal powers the
music and spins tales of love, life, debauchery and garlic.
James Kettless' guitar alternates between gentle picked single
lead-lines, angsty rythm trying to break out and bursts of pure raw
aggression with blazing and soaring solos thrown in for good measure.
Victor Tomkinson provides the drive behind and causes many a
trouser to flap, beautifully providing bassy counterpoints on which the
melodies hang. Our newest member, Symon Owers, pounds the skins
and builds the music up, dropping it back and rolling it onwards.
Utilising simple guitar sounds with emphasis on delay and complex
counterpoints, their music floats and swings from darkness to light.
