The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, a long-running American television series starring the real life Nelson family. The series starred Ozzie Nelson and his wife, singer Harriet Nelson (née Hilliard), and their young sons, David Nelson and Eric Nelson, better known as Ricky. The series attracted large audiences, although it was never a top-ten hit, it became synonymous with the 1950s ideal American family life.

@Pectoris4 - I felt a great sadness after learning about David's death.. As if the and time of the 50s were officially gone. Still remembered but gone. I suppose because they were the ideal family

when I was growing up. It must have been heaven to be part of the Nelson Family. How lucky can David and Ricky be.

I am typing this comment after learning of David Nelson's death. Now they are all gone. Only James Stacy (fratrnity brother Fred) and 95-year-old Frank Cady ("Doc") remain from the original cast

I used to look forward to seeing this show each week, Rick always sang at the end of the show. Looking at his handsome face and hearing him sing was heaven.
