Absolutely insane musicianship + vibes in a small club. Incredible Jeff Sipe drums, Matt Mundy gnarly mandolin crossover jazz-bluegrass blues. Rare live VHS circa '92. Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit in their seminal line-up. The inimitable Colonel Bruce Hampton, Retired, playing a guitar called a "chazoid". Oteil From Egypt on bass, vocals. Jimmy Herring lead guitar shredding and boggling minds with speed and precision and improv. Matt Mundy on mandolin, no one else plays it like this. Jeff Sipe "Apt. Q258" on the drums must have 8 arms.
Playing the songs "Plain Or Peanut" (traditional instrumental opener where the various band members take the lead one by one), then "Two Truckloads" by Col. Bruce & ARU, live in a club in the southeast, circa 1992.
This may be at the Cotton Club, Atlanta, Georgia.
