In 1944, at the age of 18, Marvin Yarin joined the invasion forces in Europe. World War II GIs like Marvin were not expected to live long or to survive injury. And, being Jewish, capture by the Germans carried special risk. But he survived unscathed and returned home through Bremerhaven - the same port his grandparents left when coming to America in 1881. A beautiful executed video... more like a well-made documentary actually. The weaving of interview, old newsreel footage, and photographs creates a powerful and lasting memoir. Every WWII veteran should consider this. Your stories are important.

This is great. I wish everyone had a chance to tell his or her story. It's too bad young adults and children have no idea how the world used to be.
