One more thing. Let's recall that Amerika was stolen from native peoples -- not to mention much of Mexico in the 1845 war -- who have NEVER enjoyed the benefits of trying to live by the laws of the land. The white power elite have always and repeatedly broken their own laws when it comes to the people who were here first. "Illegal immigration." What a freakin' laugher.

The speaker is not trying to "rewrite history." He's pointing out that America has always found room to allow in the poor, struggling and oppressed people from everywhere. That's why America is still the last best hope for the world. Anyone who denies this doesn't understand what America is and always has been. Yes, thousands have always been turned away, but millions more made it through.

It's not what the guy in front is saying, it's that the guy in the back isn't giving direct answers.
No one confused the words on the SOL with illegal immigration and the USA did not always accept any and all people to make this country great. And untold tens of thousands were turned away at Ellis Island also.
The guy in the front is just rewriting history and it doesn't work, even if the guy in the back doesn't know the facts why.
