The Paujil bird reserve is owned by ProAves Colombia and lies 100 km north of Bogotá, in the municipality of Puerto Boyacá, near Puerto Pinzón, in the heart of the Las Quinchas range. This is the key site protecting the Critically Endangered Blue-billed Curassow and Magdalena Spider-monkey and has over 330 bird species recorded in the reserve.
