  • I run and ride... i hate both groups.. arrogant dicks..i ride and run alone.. its quieter and i dont have to talk about new shoes and shit..This video is true though, the dialog is tedious with both groups..

  • @TimpBizkit Running is a skill just like anything form plays a big role, everything from how your foot hits the ground to where you have your head. Just because you're in shape doesn't mean you can just go run miles and miles you have to build up to that just how you built up on other exercises. Also there are plenty of different leg muscles you use while running that low impact exercises don't hit which also can make your bones weaker from never having any kind of stress.

  • I'm good at bike, elliptical trainer, stair climb. Often need a break after half mile of running! My legs are strong but slow and heavy and waste energy perhaps. Must be something wrong with my stroke I'm sure.

    Probably some good light runners get aching legs at a fraction of their puff (vo2 max) whereas the strong heavy cycling legs don't skip efficiently over the ground. Some people are good at both. I assume light climber cyclists are good runners and pedal faster with less force.

  • I'm better at cycling. I can run a mile in 7:02 on machine and. 300 watt for 20 minute on bike at 90rpm max effort.

    I can't work out why almost anyone can get me puffing hard on a run but I can blow by that same person at half effort when we're both on bicycles.

    I am 5' 5 and 164lb, stockier than most runners

    I think running is more efficient with lighter and longer legs that don't hit the ground so hard. I must be burning 150kcal a mile on level road - very inefficient!

  • both cycling and running are fun. olympic weight lifting and power lifting is much much harder. i'd rather run a marathon than attempt to clean and jerk 400lbs

  • If long distance running had 21 day stage races it would be more interesting.. but it will never have the intense drama of cycling's grand tour races.

  • @viperdude281 On the contrary as you get better you get the ability to push your self more as well as go faster, you can tolerate the pain more but can pretty much put your self into a coma.

  • Some things I can do cycling that I can't do running are get to work, get a gallon of milk, get some food...
