I have heard it said, that it is nearly impossible to do a wet exit and entry in a kayak, with a fully inflated inflateable PFD. Sounds like a challenge to me!

  • @LOSADM02 - Thanks for the comment! One of the main reasons that I did this video, was that I wanted to show how easy it was to do this type of a self-rescue, and that it can be done while wearing a PFD. Some people have claimed that it would be difficult while wearing one - especially an inflated PFD. You're right - it would have been better if the kayak had water in it, and also, if it had been in rough water. After all, that's the type of situation where this self-rescue would be needed!

  • The timing is good, but he really did not capsize or needed to flip back the kayak. That shortens the time. It is still great! I love how he stood up and jumped!
