Castle Wolfenstein for the Apple II

The first in the classic and influential Castle Wolfenstein series.

Your mission is to infiltrate Nazi headquarters in disguise, find the secret war plans hidden in a chest somewhere in the castle, and get out alive. Use stolen passes, money, and ultimately ammunition to accomplish your goal.


Nice, but hard game...less because of the gameplay, but more because of the controls.

Also you will run easily into a wall and then get this annoying..."flickering".

So yeah, if possible you should rather get Beyond Castle Wolfenstein.

@Highretrogamelord89 I think vandalaylatex6969 was being sarcastic. The video is only 4 minutes long but you spent 3 minutes on the intro text. More video of the actual gameplay would have been better.

This game was very popular when I was at school in about 1985 or 6. It was the latest and greatest, and was the first game with speech. We played it on the School's Apple II's! man... fun memories! We played it on green screen monitors, high tech stuff :)

Always loved this game and some of the other games by Muse like Space taxi, there games may never been all that great graphically but they made up for it with stellar gameplay and really that's all that matters.

What bigger thrill than this to Jewish kids back then then to dole out a little payback Apple 2 style. I used to love pitching a potato masher into a room to hear the old time phonograph sound of dying nazis. Fun.

this was the first stealth game ever made and it is fun as shit and beyond was even better

I used to get totally scared when there was a lull in the action...and then an SS stormtrooper would run in. Talk about complete panic as I basically pawed at the keyboard trying to shoot and run away at the same time. Good times.
