A bit of tweaking and I got the math correct. The map is now scrolling properly and everything appears to be correct. I've got a little creature type thing visible there to help some of the other developers visualize how characters will appear on screen.

In-game grid lines will not be visible but in order to help us test mouse mapping and scroll movement I included them. Here you can see that scrolling is aligned with proper grid movement an that players will not be confined to tile*tile movement.

Note that the framerate displayed in the video is not the actual performance the program is currently capable of. It is low due to the recording software I'm using (drops it from around 150 to 30-ish). Will try to find a better recording program at some point in the future.

---------------------

The Legend of Mazzeroth is a 2D open-source RPG/MMORPG project that's been in development since February of 2008. Originally based on The Mana World, LoM dumped that code base and started a new code base, entitled New Age, in September of 2008. I decided once there was enough material to record to video I would chronicle the development of LoM by recording short clips of each test phase.
