Sections of a strange interview with Doug bruce at the LAMEborn town hall in which he surprised me by saying he thinks Sean Paige has "already sold out", "has taken the same attitude as MoveOn.org", and it's "inexcusable". He compares Paige's reticence to repeal the enterprise fees as if he said, "so the chief of police murdered his wife, let's move on".

I thought he had won a great victory when the Colorado Springs shitty council decided to replace Jerry Heimlicher with his ideological opposite, Sean Paige, but Bruce is not happy over his take on Paige's opinion of ballot issue 300, to rescind the "enterprise fees".

Bruce runs a 501(c)3 org that spent a reported 37.4% of it's budget on lobbying in apparent violation of IRS nonprofit rules that say if you spend more than 5% you have to register as a lobbying firm and the ceiling is then 20%. His group, Active Citizens Together offers no transparency to anyone, including the IRS.

The boxes of materials seen in this video are part of of that group's tax exempt property.

Sean Paige is another anomaly in local politics. He was editor of the op/ed pages at the rabid reichwing paper, the Gazette, which bought out The Sun in one of the worst antitrust crimes in newspaper history, leaving a metro market of 600,000 with only 1 daily newspaper, and one that makes Fox Noise look "fair and balanced".

Just like the total violation of the will of the majority this council visited upon the citizens of Colorado Springs when they replaced Richard Skorman with Bernie Herpin, they replaced Jerry Heimlicher with Sean Paige in a coup d'etat against district 3.

Council member Heimlicher said, "He's the opposite of everything I stood for".

Paige's resumè is a confusion of contradictions, omissions and overt padding. He claims in various resumès to have gone to college in Michigan and Arizona during the same years. The Arizona registrar's office has no evidence of a degree and the Michigan school has no record of this attendance.

During the same years he claims to have been at the National Journalism Center, which can only find subsidized housing for 3 months and no enrollment. He then claims to have been deputy press secretary for Rep. Lagomarsino, whose name he couldn't spell, and who can't remember him.

In 1993-94 he claims to have been spokesman and press secretary for Alan Keyes for U.S. Senate from Maryland, but Keyes wasn't running for office then, having lost, as always, in 1992, with 29% of the vote.

There is no evidence Paige has never voted in any election, and he registered to vote in Colorado for the first time on Sept. 28, 2009, three days AFTER he submitted his application to be on City Council.
