Marq had some problems with flying off the teeter at our last trial. It isn't even that he means to do it. He actually hates flying off. But his stride is so large/long, that once he gets going, by the time he remembers to stop, the teeters already tipped and he's already flown off! Lol. So, the teeter might just be the ONLY agility contact obstacle we will for SURE have to do 2o2o when trialing.

  • Woohoo Marq!

I don't know if he was actually flying off at the trials or not, but NADAC wants all four feet to be on the teeter when it hits the ground, so a lot of 2o2o performances are called as flyoffs. Those on the video would be fine, but make sure it stays like that and his front feet are still in the upper end of the contact zone when the teeter hits the ground.

  • Yes, he actually did two different fly offs on the NADAC teeters. :p We have at least two extremely fast dogs here that do teh fast 2o2o, and they've never been called for fly offs. I am friends, get along with, adn joke with all the judges my trainers bring in for our trials, and I've never seen them call anythign extremely unfair like that. (When we do get those kind of judges, they DONT come back ;) )

  • hey, what kind of paint do u use for ur teeter?

  • We use regular old paint. We first coat it with more like finishing paint or something? Then we use regular colored paint adn give it a few coats. And then, we give it a coat of paint, load it with sand, and put another wet layer of paint over it when the others still wet. Makes it so it isn't slippery and has grip.

  • WOW! nice teeter! were do u get ur obsticles? anyways Marq is doing great! :)

  • My dad built the teeter for me. He also built the jumps, a frame, tire, and dog walk. If it is one thing I refuse to do, it is to risk my dog's safety on shaky, unsafe equipment. I can't stand when I see people training on teeters that bounce and fly up and hit the dogs.

    thankyou:)
