Absolutely. The use of contraception is sending the same message as abortion. That children are a punishment, an inconvenience. Not to mention that contraception is an offense and and assault on the marital act. When a couple uses such means, it's a destruction of the marital vows and, what was supposed to be mutual self-giving turns into a self-serving lie. it should be noted that at the legalization of contraception in the US, divorce rates have continually skyrocketed. 50% now. Unacceptable..

And there are resources that statistically are far more reliable and effective that "traditional means" of contraception, such as NFP, that works with the natural biology of the woman without subjecting her to harmful drugs and without the use of condoms. The sanctity of the marital act is still preserved while keeping the best interest of the family in mind. NFP isn't child prevention like the pill, condoms, exc. It's family planning.

If people waited until they were married to have sex, this certainly wouldn't be a problem. So AIDS is the unfortunate effect of a misguided culture. I certainly understand your argument and many Catholic officials would agree. but you also have to understand this: condoms don't always work. Considering the HIV virus is about 450 times smaller than a sperm cell and can pass through the material much easier. So relying on a condom to preserve you wife's health is like playing Russian Roulette...
