They are follower of Christ..that's all that matters. Jewish followers (the disciples of Christ) were first called "Christians" in Antioch...(Acts 11:26). Before that they were referred as followers of Christ, or of the Way..In either case, they are part of the Body.
It's understandable why they stay away from the "Christian" title, I don't think God cares either way. The Jews associate a lot of horrors with Christianity, that's why...
@Buckeyefan4life because their talmud has them brainwashed into believing he was a criminal who was trying to destroy judaism. In truth he was really trying to complete it. Judaism is incomplete without Jesus the Lion of Judah as it's Messiah. What they do not know is they can call him back if they all repented of their stiffnecked pride and acknowledge him, he would return and fight their enemies and make Israel greater than it ever was.
I hate to tell messianic jews something they do not want to hear but... if you believe in Jesus you are a christian. Once you make the messiah your king you belong to him...Jesus the Christ and you are christian. Doesn't matter if you do not have any crosses in your home, you have become part of the Bride of Christ. Doesn't matter if you celebrate christmas, in fact its better you do not do christmas because thats really the pagan roman holiday of Saturnalia. No christian should do that either.
And the Jews haven't offered sin offerings since 70 AD when the Temple was destroyed. This was God's way of showing them that they didn't need to be sacrificing anymore cause it's not even worth their time! Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrifice. The ONLY perfect sacrifice. A gift of love that none of us can afford to pay. Only He could. If the Jews haven't been sacrificing animals since 70 AD, how the heck do they think they are getting saved? The sin offerings were to show Christ's coming death
Can't understand why the Jews (well most of them) hate the Lord Jesus Christ so much....He gave us the gift of salvation, gave us the greatest love offering anyone can give, HIS LIFE for us sinners so we can be in Heaven for eternity. The Old Testament speaks of His coming, and he fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament in His first coming. He's gonna fulfill more of them in His 2nd coming. Jesus Christ is the Messiah! Slaughtering goats, bulls, etc. as a sin offering was not enough.
Jewish Israelis that are Believers in Jesus Christ! are Christians and no longer Jews. What Jesus said was said by a Jew to other Jews, MO. There was to be no Pauline Christianity for another thirty years. In actual fact, Jesus had nothing to do with the Christianity of today.
The faith of the Messianic Jews is the Judaism of the Bible (Biblical Judaism) and is centered on the Messiah and the salvation He brings. They are brought near to God because of the atoning work of Yeshua, Israel's Chief Rabbi, who has fulfilled them as Jewish Believers and fulfilled Judaism itself.
