In 2007, this was the state of the restoration of my ICT 1301 computer. It is running a demo program which reads from three of the tape decks, single spaces the line printer, reads a single character from paper tape and punches it out to another paper tape, it reads a single 80 column punched card and send the card to the reject stacker, at the same time it is a ghostly sound through the operator's audio output monitor. You also get to look at the lamps and switches control panel of this mainframe computer built in 1962. It weighs five tons, occupies 700 square feet and uses 13kVA of three phase electricity. Since this was filmed the machine has been re-organised. More videos to follow showing progress made in the restoration. See www.ict1301.co.uk for more details.
