My first attempt at robot building. Controlled by an Arduino Duemilanove.

There was something wrong with the original design. I now believe that there should have been some type of isolation between the arduino and the two relays. I think the relays were drawing too much current because after a while the whole thing would power down and restart constantly.

  • COOL... can u give me the circuit diagram and the components that is used w/ this robot? plssss... i really2 want to create something like this.. rugets_143@yahoo.com

  • @MrGenn143 I'm happy to help. Are you familiar with microcontrollers?

  • how did you it range finder and those wires

  • @1987host I'm not sure that I understand your question. The rangefinder uses infrared light to determine the distance to an obstacle. It sends the information to the controller by a voltage signal (the yellow wire).

Try to clarify your question and I'll do my best to answer it.

  • can you add a description explaining each step and materials needed

  • @T2PLOAN

I can but I do not think that you'll be happy with the results. It wasn't designed very well. This was my first venture into robot design. I think the relays were drawing too much current.

But if you really would like to know drop me a message and I'll do the best that I can at explaining it.

crkt diagram and the components needed.. plssss

  • @26161210 You're right about the friction. I thought I would use a caster wheel on the back of it.
