I have set a schedule to watch the old Star Trek series this summer. From what i've heard these are the best that Star Trek has to offer. The older movies were not good. Except maybe the 2nd movie, but still doesn't compare it to the new J.J. Abraham's movie or the series.

At least until the consoles' hardware becomes obsolete once more in 2-3 years, thus holding back progress once again.

At least the upside is that the new consoles are supposedly built more like PCs, which means (in theory) that the games can now be built for the PC, the ported down appropriately for the consoles.

Maybe finally everyone can be happy.

That is maybe true, but technology gets better and better. The nex-gen consoles are coming out and look at Watch Dogs on PS4. There's no way a PS3 can run Watch Dogs with these graphics. The graphics of games will improve a LOT because of the new consoles. Game developers can finally release the true power of powerful hardware, not the old ps3 and 360 hardware that holds graphics behind.

What he's saying is that to get quality even close to this trailer is going to require extremely powerful hardware.

The system would have to handle; fluid and particle simulations, lighting, and physics all in real time, in addition to; loading in map and character data, AI, and player inputs, All in an ever changing environment.

To put into perspective; the most powerful gaming PC would be brought to it's knees and beaten mercilessly just trying to render this video.

Undoubtedly the best story i've ever seen in a video game and not just there. It's my favorite science fiction universe. It makes Star Wars look childish.

whole game perfect but Final battle should been epic like this trailer, and there should been Destroy ending only with self sacrifice.
