some of the trouble, just a taste of what can go wrong, logging is tough on the trucks, this last winter was a struggle, warm temps.and alot of sand"the trucks got pulled ,chains dont help alot, wet slippery snow and freezing rain topped it off.Mud well thats another story,my poor mud flaps, getting pulled backwards ,backing up in slop, lol

  • am doing mill cut,Canfor is tossing the idea around to go to just cut to length

  • @smilie3232 That unloads way better than TL on those cranes. Our mill at sundre has gone to CTL sawlog but there is still about 10% long log. Do they keep you very busy up there cause i had to get out this summer and go back into the oil game because our season is down to 5 months that you can count on 4 that are a crap shoot and 3 months of absolutly nothing

  • @timberjack628 Its mostly winter logging up here, some summer logging is done but as you say hit and miss weather depending. The rumor up here is Canfor is thinking of going to just CTL,

  • I think this is you're best video yet! Excellent choice of music and good editing. It give's a real good look at what you put up with, and love doing, all at the same time. It look's like a job that if you let it get you down, it would drive you crazy. Maybe, myself ,I never tried it offroad. Congrat's on the job you're doing, it would take a strong person.

  • lol thankyou, things get alot harder if you let it get you down, everyday you make it home in one piece and your trucks not broken ,you have to thankful.Tough country here but beautiful, gets in your blood, strong not sure, stubborn and crazy maybe lol

  • Loggers are a special breed, this are minor problems.... ;D Thanks for a nice vid!

  • ,it gets in your blood, seen alot of guys come and go,some make one trip, never to be seen again,I have an 2009 cat with all the re-burn crap ,built for warm climate not northern. ab.we have nothing but trouble ,belly tarps and winter fronts help alot, the older stars dont have all the issues the new ones do,burn more fuel as well, all the computer crap, you just de-rate ,cant even make it to town if that happens,,cant even get a code like the old trucks, has 2 go to finning and ty, glad u enjoyed it

  • I can say i am not much of a fan of those cranes sometimes theres not a thing you can do but watch them scattter great for the mill not so much for your truck. Are you doing a mill cut or oilfield?

  • Neat...I always wanted to see that offload crane in GP actually work, seems like a good idea (if it grabbed every log all the time)...nice editing (again, as always:)
