@84randomdude When's the last time you had a crankcase heater short out on a Carrier? Just got the new Carrier Greenspeed literature. After my training class of 3 days, we will be selling that line.

@kodiak410a Never had a crankcase heater short out on anything. I don't work in the field. I'm 14 years old.
But I'm a full believer in Trane equipment. I love Carrier, but I gotta stick with what I'm familiar with, and what in my eyes, is the best.

@84randomdude Trane is probably the worst brand out there right now. I have 3 Trane units and they all suck, cost lots in repairs. Efficiency Mechanical, the company that repairs my Trane units, says " Everything stops a Trane, Carrier is probably the best as of now.

@somerandomdude82 wrong. "IT'S HARD TO STOP A TRANE" is so true. What kinds of repairs? You didn't specify. Most likely bad installations, kinked refrigerant lines, or the famous OPERATOR ERROR.
Trane AND Carrier are both the best. Trane has their legendary Climatuff compressor, which is virtually un-stoppable, and Carrier uses rock solid Copeland Scroll compressors. Both GREAT brands.
Although I would say that Carrier makes a better liquid cooled chiller.
