  • Why does the video keep switching between color and black-and-white?

  • @BlackFloyd94 The video was recorded in 1990 on VHS tape, using an 1986 monophonic video recorder. The tape itself has deteriorated in its 20 year storage, imagine!

  • I truly miss the days when the Sony name and the label Made in Japan was all about quality. Nowadays, Sony is no better than any other company that has sold out to the Chinese. I also feel that there is no such thing as a wow factor in electronics anymore.

  • Yes, you're right! I cannot remember the last 'wow' factor gadget I've had! Tech is so far advanced now that

it would have seemed Sci-Fi 10 years ago! Mind you, that takes me back to the Sony Minidiscs, now they were

cool, well built and small! You'd see plenty of folk using them on the London underground back in the day :) yay!

  • Another great format that Sony should've tried to improve was DAT. I love the footage between 1:36 through 2:08, and the quote that Mr. Bayley said was epic. "...anything as beautifully detailed, small, and as well made as this could come from nowhere other than Japan." The Japanese will always have the edge when it comes to miniaturization. :)

  • Yes, you're right. Funny enough though, my 32 Gig i-Pod Touch has been relegated to the shoe box since August last year as I've been enjoying my olde Walkman DD, haha

  • Well... my d3 does :-)

  • "There's nothing remarkable about a tape player that doesn't record..."

    Ha ha ha, funny!

  • @406356690 Correction, Sony WAS a Japanese company. Their CEO is now a westerner by the name of Howard Stringer. Oh, and most of Sony's factories are in China or I believe Malaysia(once in a while I see something from Taiwan) they've actually closed down quite a few of their Japanese factories. Sony may be based in Japan, but they operate globally. Please get you're facts straight before you make another outburst like that. It will make you look less like an jackass.

  • @TCDF22

    I wasn't complaining, just making a speculation ...

  • @levivasquez

    Wow, that's old!!
