Presented at Disney's California Adventure in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. This show opened in May 2004. It was originally presented infront of the Disney Animation Building with giant paintbrush themed speakers. The intent was to bring in more guests inside the Animation Building. This streetmosphere later moved to the Hollywood Backlot Theater in January 2006. At the end, Woody from Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story" may be changed for Hercules or Peter Pan. And Cinderella is sometimes replaced with Aurora from "Sleeping Beauty".

Welcome to Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Where through the art of disney animation dreamers of all ages can be drawn to the magic.

Spencer (hat-magical friends)
Brendan (tie-disney heroes)
Laura (disney princesses).

We're drawn to the magic the epic adventure to each classic story that unfolds on screen. Our dreams come alive with each moment we see. When the battle is won. Or when the spell has begun. When two hearts become one it's magic to me.

(Laura) Just a few lines drawn in the right place make an elegant princess who's full of braids.
(Brandon) And just a few lines said in the right way make our shy guy a hero who saves the day.
(Spencer) And just a few lines sung in the right song makes me roar like a lion or soar right along.

"Go the Distance" -Hercules
"Part of Your World" -The Little Mermaid

Recorded April 15, 2007.

  • This show has been replaced by "Disney Dance Crew"

  • filmfreak11, it's as follows:

  • Thank you very much :)

  • Is this a modified version of another show? (the name slips my mind right now). I know a video was up somewhere, and Eden Espinosa from Wicked was in it.

BTW, the show was along the same lines as this

  • You're thinking of "Animazement" which was in Disneyland's Fantasyland Theater.

  • "Is it on?" That scared me! O.o

  • Me too. I thought it was a random person at first. It was cool though :)

  • I want to see this show again at Disneyland!

  • I really like this show!! I wasn't expecting much because of the small stage, but the people were so talented!! Great!!

  • That supid girl at 0:16 scared the shit out of me. Way to go for scaring the crap out of your viewers.

  • @disneyrob no it's braids. end of story

  • @d2damas2000

    It's Actually

(Laura) Just a few lines drawn in the right place makes

an elegant princess who's full of grace.

  • Love Woody and Buzz, but for the "heroes" thing they should've used the hand-drawn heroes rather than the CGI heroes. Like Aladdin, Hercules, John Smith, etc.
