Downloading Audiobooks via the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library using the OverDrive Media Console

This is a very brief demonstration on downloading audiobooks via the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library System. It is not a product of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library System. It is intended for educational purposes only. This video was created to demonstrate just how easy it can be to create short (yet effective) video tutorials using screencast software. With shrinking budgets, libraries are always trying to find new ways to bring information to their patrons without breaking the bank. This presentation is not perfect ... it is not intended to serve as a professional piece of work ... please keep that in mind when viewing this presentation. Yes, it would be nice if every library system had the money to produce high-quality polished video content to share with their users, but that simply isn't the reality of many libraries that are currently facing hard economic times. Also, technology changes things so quickly these days and screencast software offers options to communicate those changes in a very straight-forward and inexpensive way. The programs used to create this demo were Windows Live Movie Maker and Microsoft Expression Encoder. However, there are many great free programs available these days. In my opinion, Screencast-O-Matic is a great choice for ease of use, but there are quite a few options available today.
