  • :-) I should of turtled.. That might of made the outcome different. Maybe.. I just was not used to fighting a skilled Honda.. And at this grand scale of play with about 1000 people at my back. It was to hard to adjust mid way and overcome. Mike Ross is good. But for the record Honda beats Balrog 7/3 and/or 6/4. :-) So in all its a counterpick. Ross just so happens to play Honda and i play Rog. So... It is what it is.. I got 3rd. (Alucard is my fav. anime character btw)

  • Hahaha my you're presumptuous.

You certainly have a lot left to prove to a random Youtube user, even for being extremely old.

Like I said, if you aren't enjoying playing peers and being around the atmosphere, you don't really belong there in the first place, and should be doing something you don't have to intentionally half-ass to "enjoy". But to each their own, I guess, you can go ahead and play for almost two decades and get nowhere, but some of us don't really dig that.

  • i understand what you're saying katsuranomaly, but i disagree with the notion that ppl have to enjoy playing with peers in a competitive atmosphere in order to enjoy the game itself. ever heard of personal preference? the freedom of choice? regardless of whether or not you enjoy that atmosphere, whatever you choose i'd be happy for you, and i expect the same from everyone else. i've been playing SF 1 since the 80's, and sometimes i enjoy multiplayer and sometimes i don't. it depends on my mood.

  • "Cheats" :D

  • naw, im glad you didnt you would of lost my respect = )

haha, naw but you was on his ass from 2:00 to 2:22 lol

  • Hahaha. Give it a rest.

I'm sure speaking in absolutes like that makes you feel deep and wise but it's really quite silly.

If making it to the big show gets you off, that's great. If it doesn't that's great too.

I know it might be hard for you to comprehend but some of us have been doing this for 15+ years and don't have anything left to prove and with good jobs aren't fazed by prizes. At this point, "playing to win" can be work, not play.

  • The feeling of winning on a grand scale like this national tournament is so much more fulfilling than playing impractically for the sake of itself.

If you aren't already massively enjoying yourself simply by being at the tourney, you are playing garbage tourneys.

  • No...

Play to enjoy yourself. Sometime optimal play is just boring. What's the point if you can't enjoy yourself.

  • He SHOULD have turtled and punished mistakes instead of getting manhandled like he did by rushing in face first. Play to win, not appease random youtube users.
