NO. the jetta gets 50 mpg on the highway same as the prius.
the difference is, if you start Punching it and passing people, the tdi drops down to maybe 45 mpg, where as the prius drops down to 20.
TRUST ME, dude, i know what im talking about. the jetta gets way better milage real world. plus the new tdi's are Stop Start engines same as the prius. best of both worlds.

And to fabricate a prius you have to distroy the enviroment. The batteries in the prius aren´t recycleable and to produce and transport them from the manufacturer to toyota takes a lot of energy and resources. So if you buy a prius you ruin our planet. Jetta is up to 99% recycleable and it has better milage on the highway. Don´t deny it! The only advatage of the hybrid is in a city trafic but not on the highway! And i don´t even talk about a quality, styling and driving plesure.
